To Our Visitors
We welcome you to St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church whether you are simply an out-of-town visitor, someone new to the community or someone seeking a church home. We're very glad, in any case, that you are expressing an interest in us. We believe that we are a great church, full of wonderful people, and hope that you too will find this to be true when you visit us. We are like budding flowers - please come grow with us! Below you will find some information which we hope will be useful during your visit:
Basic Information:
Our Sunday worship services are at 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. The 8:00 service is a said mass (no music) and fairly quiet. This service usually last around 35 minutes and uses the Rite I liturgy. The 10:00 service, on the other hand, uses Rite II, will last approximately a little over an hour and is a choral mass with full organ music.

St. Andrew’s is located at 7859 Tick Neck Rd. in Pasadena, Maryland. Our phone number is 410-255-1070. Click HERE to open a map with easy driving directions. Parking is available in our parking lot located off Tick Neck Road.
Nursery Care:
Children are welcome to St. Andrew’s services. Currently we do not have Childcare available however if you are uncomfortable with your child is the service there is a quiet room available just off the Parish Hall on the main floor. There is a full view of the sanctuary and the audio from the service is piped into the room.
Sunday School:
Sunday school is downstairs for children and is held in conjunction with the 10:00 a.m. service on Sunday. Children will be brought back to the sanctuary in time for Communion.
Sunday Bulletins:
An usher will give you a bulletin which outlines the order of our service, including page numbers, when to stand, when to kneel, etc. You will also find in each pew The Book of Common Prayer and the Hymnal. Please feel free to ask the person sitting next to you for any assistance you may need. Any baptized person is welcome to receive communion.
Coffee Hour:
Following the 10:00 service on Sunday mornings you are invited to come to the Narthex for coffee and light morning snacks. This is a great opportunity for you to meet others and learn more about who we are. Please consider joining us.
WHAT IS AN EPISCOPALIAN?
The Episcopal Church in the United States is part of the worldwide Anglican Communion. The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby, is the titular leader of the Anglican Communion. In the United States, the presiding Bishop is the "Chief Pastor and Primate" of the Episcopal Church. The individual elected to this position serves for nine years. The current Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church is the Reverend Michael Curry. St. Andrew’s is located in the Diocese of Maryland which represents the Episcopal communities spanning across 10 counties of Western, Central and Southern Maryland. The Right Reverend Eugene Taylor Sutton currently serves as the Bishop of Maryland. The Episcopal Church embraces a diverse people united by the common recognition of Scripture and tradition. It is a church that encourages dialogue, discussion, ongoing study and active participation in the liturgy and sacraments. The Book of Common Prayer is the source of much of our liturgy, sacramental rites, prayers and theology.
Joining St. Andrew's:
On any Sunday, a parish member, a greeter or usher will most likely recognize you as a visitor and welcome you as you enter through our doors. Please take a moment to sign our guest book and fill out a visitor card. You can join St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church by calling our parish office (410-255-1070) and speaking with our rector. He will be glad to provide you with particular details in joining our church and becoming an Episcopalian or transferring your records from your previous Episcopal Church.
